ROMS are basically the cartridge or disc. Once you downloaded both your emulator and room all you have to do is open your emulator (install it if needed) and run the emulator application on your PC and just go where it says open ROM and select the game you want and just play it. You can also reassign the keyboards for the controllers. You can easily emulate anything from N64 & PS1 and older. Newest consoles from PS2 and above are more complicated except for GBA, PSP and NDS.
