Dr. Pepper
I remember playing an RTS-ish Roman/Greek themed game which had an unusually satisfying battle resolution to it, specifically there were the soldiers themselves but also stone columns which represented troop strength and or morale and whatnot and these would go up and down during the fighting, I was pretty sure it was for NES and that I played it when I was a child, but this could be wrong, the game I have found is Centurion for NES but that's not it, unless I had a different version which they put out but there seems to be only one, I recall having the responsibility to place troops/armies and being upset when I placed them poorly and got slammed the next turn or phase or whatever...so, what is this damn game? Dr. Pepper
As it so happens there are only 16 RTS games for SNES and Sega Genesis, one of which is Warrior of Rome and this is definitely it, the column recollection was wrong somewhat, they are just bars but they express themselves in tactical combat, the columns I was remembering is the city icon for the Romans, seems like a solid title while the sequel looks like pooh.
