The Blackangel Posted March 12, 2021 Share Posted March 12, 2021 They don't kill the hero, because people always want a happy ending. Even in horror movies, there tends to be a happy ending a lot. Or if not happy, just something that works out in the protagonists favor. Slasher flicks always end with the "death" of the slasher. Jason, Michael Meyers, Freddy, Leatherface, and any others I forgot always die at the end of each movie.
