Everything in human existence was drastically affected by COVID-19 in a negative way. So, I'm never expecting the prices of gaming consoles to be an exception to this inflation.

Yeah. Indirectly the prices of the console took a hit in the pandemic. Due to shortages of semiconductors, the prices of consoles and all electronic gadgets that requires semiconductors have shoot up. As long as the production picks up again, the price is expected to remain same.

Seriously, it's not even only the shortage of semiconductors or other parts that affected the cost of these consoles but also shipping fees as a result of restriction placed of that as a result of the pandemic.

Nope because gaming consoles will be in more demand due to the pandemic and if we follow the law of demand in economics states that when an item has more demand than supply, the price will increase and continue to see increases the lower the supply.

Yeah - that's a very good valid point. With the world confined to being at home, people need something to keep them company and there comes in these gaming consoles. Demand is 100% excepted to be off the roof.

That's what surfaced on many news articles here. The main synopsis is that, the pandemic will have adverse effects on the supply/production. That eventually will increase the price.

But the situation now is improving. Hopefully, the shortages of semiconductors will be fulfilled by enough supply the production industries. In future, the price of gaming consoles are expected to ease down.

See, that is never a cure to that disease. Whatever the shots being given are just temporary immunity booster. Having the shot doesn't mean you are 100% immune to the virus.

So, there is no way out here. We need to accept that as a part of daily life. The restrictions and lockdown situation is easing now, which is Afterall a good sign.

Yeah, the pandemic and extended lockdown has really affected the demand and supply chain. The prices of most of the electronic gadgets has shot up. But good thing is that, the situation is improving. Hopefully, the prices will come down too.
