It just perpetuates the myth that sharks are bloodthirsty for human flesh, when actually they only bite out of curiosity. They experience things like a toddler, by putting it in their mouth. The only real reason a shark would flat out eat a human is if its food supply was too low and it was starving. It's been well documented that sharks don't like the taste of human. There are only a handful of exceptions like the bull shark and hammerhead that are true maneaters, but their attacks are the most rare. Especially the hammerhead. It's like the hype after Jaws came out. Great movie, but it made everyone who saw it an expert on how the great white shark only wanted to kill humans. But you know what? My ass is full of shit too.
