m76
I only watch trailers for games that are a long time from releasing. When I want to decide to buy a game or not, I'd rather watch gameplay footage, preferably without any commentary.
skyfire
I find a lot of new contente using the trailers. In fact I watch twitter and youtube for the trailers. it is fun that way to spend time in this virus world right now.
LEADTECH
Yes, sometimes i'm basingthe game on the trailer. I want to know how the graphics and the story of the game was all about.
skyfire
You also learn about new upcoming games if you keep tab on the trailer based channels and the twitter accounts. A lot to learn out there.
Reality vs Adventure
Zero trailers for me. Actual gameplay and reviews helps me decide. Trailers are those hyped up fake models on internet dating sites. Then you meet them in person and they are the Wicked Witch of the West or Fabio's sidekick Gollum. Kane99
I wouldn't say trailers sell me on games unless they show me gameplay. Anything cinematic doesn't paint a picture of what I'm getting. Sure it may be story based, but I'd rather see a trailer with gameplay over a cinematic one. Dead Island comes to mind, as they did the cinematic trailer and got people interested in it. But it was far from what the trailer showed. I thought it was going to be this depressing story about loss, but nope, we got an ok zombie survival game. But the story was not good at all. It probably wasn't even needed for what the game was. And the story seemed more comical than dramatic. But yeah, never trust a cinematic trailer, as that will not give you any details about the game itself.
skyfire
I tthink these days you can save a lot of money if you watch gameplay before the game is purchased by your card. that's what I have learned so far from the experience.
Heatman
Of course yes, video games reveal and launch trailers goes a very long way in helping most people in deciding about getting or not getting a particular game and I'm not left out of such influence as well. Justin11
With the trailers have learned many things around each and every game. It will simply give that clue if the game is worth it or not since everything about the video game is displayed on trailer.

I’ve come to realize that I’ve never even seen the trailers for the vast majority of video games I have played. It's not just for my video games that I lookup to the trailers but also for the movies I watch as well. It offers me an insight to what I can enjoy in either the game or movies. Some trailers are not always spot on with being misinforming but in most cases, they are very good with showing what to expect in games and movies likewise. Head_Hunter
Trailers never misformed me before, I've always learned about video games I never played before through the help of it's trailer. With it, I decide if the game is worth it or never.
