What's better? Wireless bluetooth controller or a controller adapter?

What do you consider best for mobile gaming? A wireless bluetooth controller maybe? I imagine to really get use out of it, you'd need a phone holder along with it. Those seem to go for pretty cheap. I have one for Xbox One controllers. So something like the image below. 

Or, would you rather use a controller adapter on your mobile phone? Something like the image below.

I'd take the controller adapter under normal circumstances because it's way more portable(as in, it can fit in your pocket and you don't need to place it in a bag or anything) while a Bluetooth wireless controller is far more of a hassle to carry around.

i personally would choose that nintendo switch looking controller, it looks cool and seems to be having less input lag than the bluetooth controller

Controller adapter if it fits your hands nicely, otherwise bluetooth works if you make sure there aren't any other devices around you that can interfere with it when you are playing.

I once used a Xbox controller on my android phone and it worked perfectly until the screen of my phone shattered, it didn't play well since.

How'd you manage to connect it? was it using the USB cord or using Bluetooth? Oh wait - the Xbox One controller...I have one ffs. I never really thought to do that.

I recently checked out the ASUS phone controllers and also the design for holding the phone. It was definitely worth with that design.

Just use a simple dongle for or from the XBOX One controller, and a charging dock. It never runs out of battery, and wireless is just more convenient than wired. but there are simple other options to get for it on amazon. does anyone just use what the phone offers rather then spending more money, just use the touchscreen

I think bluetooth devices are getting better. And lot better than the typical battery adapter types. I think typical IR and the bluetooth both have some difference in them.

As far as I'm concerned, the wireless versions are always better because they give you the freedom to play without any kind of restrictions whatsoever.
