Kane99
Super Mario Bros. 35 seems to be hugely popular these days. For those wondering, it's the first SMB game, with some upgraded controls. You play 34 other players, who will run the same level as you. As you beat levels, you can go back and repeat the same one. The one who survives the longest, wins. Each time you kill an enemy, it gets added to other people playing. So if you're good, you can try to pin people in traps by sending certain enemies their way. It's quite fun. So it got me thinking, wouldn't it be cool if more retro games did this type of battle royale? Where multiple people start off with one level and whoever survives the longest, wins. I could see it done for Sonic, and any other side scrolling platformer. What games would you like to see get this battle royale treatment?
The Blackangel
Bubble Bobble and Dig Dug would be interesting. Q*Bert and Asteroids would be a couple other great additions.
killamch89
This is actually a pretty interesting concept especially for 2-D side scrollers. I could see the original Prince Of Persia games getting this kind of treatment.
