The Blackangel
@StaceyPowers made a post about transferring PS3 files to a PS5. It got me wondering about the same thing but slightly Being that the PS5 is fully reverse compatible with PS4, would it be possible to just move files from the PS4 straight to the PS5? Like through an external hard drive type thing? The same way you would with a thumb drive or microSD card? I'm curious because at some point in a few years I wouldn't mind getting one, but I don't want to lose all the files I have on my PS4. Reality vs Adventure
I hope so, or else it's just another marketing ploy. Makes no sense to have a game for the ps4 and start it all over again for the ps5. I mean, is it that important to replay the game just to see a few extra hairs on a horses ass? Kane99
I believe it depends on the publishers/devs making it possible to port the save over. I know some games are offering a feature to port your saves, but I don't know if all saves will. But, I suspect the cloud saves will be usable on both.
