Destruction AllStars’ Microtransactions Lock Story Challenges Behind Paywall

Oof, well that's no good. According to PSU, the new game Destruction AllStars has story challenges locked behind a paywall, as this game has microtransactions, some of which can only be purchased by paying for their currency. The challenges come in the form of Challenge Series Events, that require their special currency to get, which means you have to drop real cash to even partake. Seems stupid to me. 

Anyway, what do you think? With some cosmetics and story challenges locked behind a paywall, is this a game you would even consider?

How appropriate that their premium currency of "Destruction Points" has the unfortunate initialism of "DP". What a great way to kick off the new console generation.
