Arcades in Japan are having trouble because of the pandemic

Here in the US we don't have nearly any arcades, as we kind of moved on from them. But, Japan has always had a lot of Arcades, but with the pandemic, it's causing issues for them. The arcades in Japan would usually get tons of people in, but due to the pandemic, they haven't been getting many people in anymore. There are still some people who show up, but it's miniscule in comparison to what they used to get. 

Could this spell the end of arcades in Japan? I sure hope not, because there's not many other places that have a arcades.

Japan's arcades are pretty wild if I'm being honest. Their arcades are so awesome! I do hope they don't shut down and it's really no surprise that they ended up in this predicament because they actually need people who are physically present to make any earnings.

Any type of business can be helped by the government if they wanted to during this pandemic. Japan has one of the largest economies ranking 3rd in the world. And no, that isn't socialism to help businesses during an economic crisis or pandemic. But the rich get richer, and we the people lose our entertainment.

Such news is expected but still unfortunate all the same. I do so enjoy arcade machines, the few times I get to play them as the most consistent experience I've had with them is during holidays in Wales. Given arcades are a much larger part of Japan's entertainment culture and gaming landscape than here in the UK, it's only the more painful to hear. I wish the manufacturers, owners and players of these machines the best. ^^

Almost every business is affected by this pandemic but I think Japanese government should rise to the help of their indigenous organization to save it from peril.
