Do you prefer eastern or western video games?

Do you have a strong preference for games from Japan or from the western world? Why or why not?

That's a tough one, since I know that a lot of japanese games are what we would call classics today. Like Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, Sonic The Hedgehog, etc. So there's a lot from Japan that we have gotten to enjoy. For retro and classic games, I would say Japan. But for current stuff, there are a lot of games out there, produced all over the world, so it's really hard to say western or eastern, because the gaming industry is a mixing pot of people with different religions, ideas and so on. 

I think all sides make quality games, so I don't think I can really pick one or the other.

Origin of the developer does not matter. I am kind of sucker for stories. I like having a good story worth playing than the setup of the story like it's geo location.

I have a strong preference against eastern videogames. Not because I'm biased against the people of the east, but because I did not like any game that came from the East.

In that case you have not played enough it seems. Indonesia has made some of the best horror games. And so does the japan. After all Nintendo is japanese and so do their games. which is eastern games. and so do chinese products with their pre made games.

I have a strong preference for video games - I don't care where its from. It just has to entertain me - after all, variety is the spice of life.
