Free PlayStation Plus December 2019: Our Predictions

Having fun playing Nioh and Outlast 2 this month for free through PlayStation Plus? So are we! But we’re taking a break from the November free games to look forward to next month. Let’s talk free PlayStation Plus December 2019 games predictions!

1. Dragon Age: Inquisition

You may be aware that the Enhanced Edition of the BioWare classic Neverwinter Nights is due to release on December 3rd on PS4, Xbox One and Switch. Maybe we will get to play another BioWare RPG next month. One recommendation would be Dragon Age: Inquisition, wherein the player assumes the role of the Herald of Andraste, bringing order to Thedas in a climate of civil war and a looming threat. While Dragon Age: Origins has been free through PS Plus, Inquisition still has not. No time like the present, right?

2. World of Final Fantasy

Due to release on December 5th on PS4 and Switch is Star Ocean: First Departure R, bringing the classic RPG to modern platforms. Star Ocean: First Departure on PlayStation Portable back in 2007 was the work of Tose, so maybe we will be playing another game from that developer in December 2019. What about World of Final Fantasy? Released in 2016, this Tose-developed RPG has yet to be free through PlayStation Plus.

3. Donut County

Coming out on December 9th on PS4, Switch and PC is an PRG called Ashen developed by A44. Also due to release on December 17th is a game called Wattam. Maybe another game from the same publisher for both titles, Annapurna Interactive, will be free next month. Our pick is Donut County, an indie title released in December of last year. It was nominated upon release for a large number of awards, and ended up winning Mobile Game of the Year from SXSW Gaming Awards.

4. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood

One more intriguing game that will release on December 6th for PS4 and Xbox One is Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey. The game already released on PC in August. If you are a fan of designer Patrice Désilets, you will be excited about this title, since it marks his return from a hiatus which has extended since 2010’s Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. As that title is available on PS4 and has yet to be free through PlayStation Plus, we can’t think of a better time to make it so.

Those are our picks for the free PlayStation Plus December 2019 games. Let’s hope some of our predictions come to pass! In the meantime, enjoy November 2019’s free games, and take a moment to catch up on some PlayStation news.
