The May 2020 free games through PS Plus were something of a travesty. With gamers hoping for more from the free PlayStation Plus June 2020 games, hopefully Sony is up to the task. Here are a few predictions for next month.
1. Neptune Flux
The ocean-themed Beyond Blue is coming to PS4 and other major platforms on June 8th. So, maybe we will be playing another ocean-themed game for free through PS Plus next month. One possibility would be Neptune Flux, “a story-driven, open-world adventure game set in a sci-fi ocean full of mystery and haunting beauty. Discover supernatural wreck sites, ancient artifacts, and dark secrets.”
2. Even the Ocean
This acclaimed 2016 platformer indie game was well-received for its gameplay and themes. It has yet to be free through PS Plus, so maybe it will be free next month.
3. Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk
Also coming out next month on PS4, Switch and PC is Fairy Tail on June 26th from developer Gust Co. Ltd. Perhaps we will see another game from this studio made free next month? One idea would be 2012’s Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk, the fourteenth installment in the RPG series. Nevertheless, its story is a standalone, so even those who missed the other entries could enjoy it.
4. Blue Reflection
Another RPG from Gust which could be featured next month among the PS Plus free games is 2017’s Blue Reflection, which features an injured ballet dancer with magical fighting powers.
That wraps up the list of predictions for the June 2020 free games. But as the rumors for May’s games definitely did not come true, it is good to keep in mind that rumors and predictions are only that. We won’t know for sure what we will be playing in June until Sony make its announcement near the end of the month. We’ll let you know when they do.
