Gamescom 2019: Konami Reveals New eFootball PES 2020 Mobile Details

Konami is among the video game developers with a presence at Gamescom 2019 as they present their upcoming Pro Evolution Soccer title. With the event going on over the past few days, Konami continues to reveal new items related to their PES 2020 game. It releases in September, and on Thursday they revealed new details for the eFootball PES 2020 Mobile app.

Konami’s eFootball PES 2020 Mobile details from Gamescom 2019

As Gamescom 2019 takes place in Germany, Konami has been quite active with the news and promotions. Just a few days ago, we reported on the announcement that UEFA Euro 2020 will join PES 2020 through a DLC pack. Today we’ve learned the first details of the new mobile PES game.

A tweet arrived from the eFootball PES account on August 22, informing fans that eFootball PES 2020 is coming to mobile this October 2019. This will be a mobile game involving PES 2020 with the new game mode Matchday, as well as some new features such as Finesse Dribble. In addition, Konami’s PES team mentioned there are enhanced graphics on the mobile game.

The upcoming mobile game will be available on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch through the App Store. In addition, it will be available on Android devices through the Google Play Store. Konami hasn’t revealed the mobile game’s exact release day for October just yet. There is currently a PES 2019 Pro Evolution Soccer game on mobile which released within the past several years.

Will there be a Club Manager companion app?

Unfortunately, a lot of fans want a different sort of mobile app from Konami with PES 2020. Many gamers are requesting a MyClub companion app to manage their clubs on the go via mobile. It makes sense as this is something other popular sports titles have provided such as EA’s Madden. The good news is that Konami released a PES Club Manager app in the past. So, it’s possible something like this could arrive for PES 2020.

Meanwhile, there’s a free PES 2020 demo available on select consoles to test out ahead of the game’s official release date. The full game arrives on September 10, 2019, for Sony PS4, Microsoft Xbox One, and Windows PCs.

Gamescom 2019 will continue in Germany through August 24, 2019, so there is likely more news on the way. Check out the event’s official website here.
