Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is the first title in the franchise that released with no classic single player campaign. Although we nagged and complained about it, it looks like it wasn’t worth it. Treyarch is treating Black Ops 4 Zombies much like a campaign. However, they also put a little extra in there everytime, so that players have something to look forward too. Latest news is that Gauntlet is coming to the mode. At least that’s what a new leak suggests.
Treyarch has already announced that Gauntlet will be coming to Black Ops 4 Zombies this year. We haven’t had any information on it yet. Data miner Cashmint has been able to unearth much wanted information about the new mode.
According to him, he was able to find text that looks to originate from the official Gauntlet mode. Here’s what it reads:
Gather your Crew and face the GAUNTLET! Based on Classic Mode, each Gauntlet features 30 ROUNDS of challenges with DIFFERENT RULES EACH ROUND. MEDALS and SPECIAL REWARDS are earned at ROUNDS 10, 20, and 30. If your Crew fails to complete a round as instructed, you will get a STRIKE. Three Strikes and it’s GAME OVER!
New Gauntlets will be released periodically with all-new challenges, and ALL GAUNTLET MATCHES ARE TIMED, so get out there and set some records!
As you can see, Gauntlet in Black Ops 4 Zombies will be more objective based than the previous installations. Basically, you’ll have 30 rounds in total, with a new ruleset and objective each time. Win a round and score rewards, lose and get a strike. Ultimately, three strikes will result to a game over. Pretty straight forward right?
We don’t know if the Gauntlet mode will have one sole path. We bet that Treyarch will be making variations each time. In addition, we’d love to see it taking a rogue like step. Undeniably, this will add some kind of replayability to the mode.
