Following the studio’s recent appearance at Gamescom, Gearbox will be making another major event appearance this weekend at PAX West. The Borderlands 3 PAX West appearance promises a VIP code scavenger hunt, a cosplay booth, and more. However, for non-attendees, the studio will also be revealing more details about the game’s endgame content.
What to Expect From the Borderlands 3 PAX West Appearance
PAX West 2019 begins today, the 30th of August, and you can expect to see Gearbox very quickly. The studio is hosting the “Gearbox Main Theatre Show,” later today at 1:30 PM PDT / 4:30 PM EDT / 9:30 PM BST. This show will be available to watch via livestream on Gearbox’s Twitch, Mixer, and YouTube channels. According to the studio, fans can; “Expect to see more on the Proving Grounds and Circle of Slaughter arenas that were revealed at Gamescom, more details on post-campaign endgame content, and maybe a surprise or three”. As such, it certainly sounds worth tuning in for!

Actual PAX West attendees will, of course, get even more from the Borderlands 3 PAX West appearance. A playable Borderlands 3 demo will be available on level 4 at booth 1601. This demo will allow attendees to play as any of the four playable Vault Hunters. Of course, there’ll be plenty of other things to do; ranging from a cosplay photobooth to a VIP code scavenger hunt, etc. Fans in Seattle who are at least 21 years old can also attend a Borderlands community party later tonight. Taking place at Showbox SoHo, this event is separate from PAX West, so attendees won’t need an event pass. Entry will be first come, first served, however, with doors opening at 9 PM PDT. This party will reportedly feature a cosplay contest, so cosplayers could get priority entry.
After PAX West, less than two weeks will remain before the actual release of Borderlands 3. As such, players can look forward to a further two weeks of intense promotion from Gearbox. If you still haven’t pre-ordered the game, you can check out our last-chance Pre-Order Guide here.
