Gearbox Teases the Next Upcoming Borderlands 3 DLC

Thus far, Gearbox has released three of the planned four story DLCs for Borderlands 3. Now, fans should get ready for the reveal of the final one. The studio recently released a teaser trailer for the as-yet-unnamed Borderlands 3 DLC, confirming that a full reveal will be coming next week.

Full Reveal for Borderlands 3 DLC #4 Next Week

The first Borderlands 3 DLC was Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, which launched back in December of 2019. After that, Gearbox released Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright and Hammerlock, around five months ago. Finally, the studio launched the third story DLC, Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption, three months ago. The fourth and final story DLC’s name has yet to be revealed by Gearbox, but it seems that fans won’t have much longer to wait to find out.

According to the new teaser trailer, a full reveal of the upcoming Borderlands 3 DLC will fall on the 25th of August, in just a few days’ time. The teaser trailer also confirms the return of Krieg, the DLC Psycho Vault Hunter from Borderlands 2. His inclusion follows a trend which has seen the return of a fan-favourite character in each DLC, with the sole exception of Bounty of Blood. (When Gearbox opted to feature an entirely new cast of characters.) The first DLC included Handsome Jack’s body-double, while the second included Gaige, both of whom were playable characters in previous Borderlands games.

Borderlands 3 DLC Fourth Teaser Trailer

As for the rest of the DLC, it’s currently unknown what the story will be about. However, the teaser trailer appears to indicate that Krieg may be getting better control over his Psycho personality through some form of meditation. Indeed, audio logs in Borderlands 3 also suggest that he has better control than he did during Borderlands 2. For now, however, fans will have to wait until the 25th to find out more.
