The Voice Actor for Mimir Narrates the God of War Audiobook

The God of War Novelization and Audiobook

The God of War novelization became available for pre-order around four weeks ago, when it was first announced. All told, the book spans 352-pages. The novel is published by Titan Books, who produced the following description of the book which appears on their website; His vengeance against the Gods of Olympus years behind him, Kratos now lives as a man in the realm of Norse gods and monsters. It is in this harsh, unforgiving world that he must fight to survive… and teach his son to do the same. This startling re-imagining of God of War deconstructs the core elements that defined the series – satisfying combat; breathtaking scale; and a powerful narrative – and fuses them anew.”

Last week, Cory Barlog announced that the God of War novelization’s audiobook would be narrated by Allistair Duncan; the voice actor who voiced the character of Mimir in the latest God of War. Barlog released a brief teaser of the narration alongside the announcement. As the voice of God of War’s greatest storyteller, Duncan seems to be the perfect choice to narrate the audiobook. In fact, PlayStation recently released a brief compilation of the best moments from Kratos and Atreus’ journeys across the Lake of Nine, which is the place in the game where Mimir tells most of his tales. J.M. Barlog, Cory Barlog’s father, is a professional novelist who generally writes in the suspense and mystery genres. However, he has made the transition to fantasy for this adaptation.
