We all know Marty O’Donnell, the composer of the first four Halo games. Latest rumors want O’Donnel to be the composer for Halo Infinite, which is another thing to look forward to, since all fans hope that the upcoming game brings back the “old Halo glory days”.
Latest rumors indicate that Marty O’Donnell is working on the music for Microsoft’s biggest franchise, which is most likely Halo Infinite. Given his experience with the franchise, since he worked on the soundtrack for Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo Reach, it’s safe to expect him to be working on this one, if the rumor is true.
Marty O’Donnell has been working with Bungie after their departure from the Halo franchise. He was fired after the studio’s partnership with Activision for protesting against the partnership and the fact that it was ruining the company culture.
The rumors got even more solid after O’Donnell recently posted an image on Twitter featuring himself, Jen Taylor and Joseph Staten. Staten was a writer for Halo 1,2 and 3 while Jen Taylor is the voice of Cortana in all related Halo titles. He also stated later yesterday that there was “nothing random about their meeting”.

This makes us wonder though; Could the voice of Cortana and a writer for the original Halo games be on board for Halo Infinite? This could be huge for the franchise and for Microsoft in general, since fans have wanted a future title to be following the same “character” that the original trilogy did.
Everything is pretty quiet for now regarding Halo Infinite from 343 Industries and Microsoft’s part. All we have to go around is its reveal trailer and a hint that it might be set on Halo Zeta or Installation 07. The theories about the upcoming title are to many for the time being but it might be some time before we see something official being revealed.
