Halo Infinite Developer Wants Master Chief in Smash Bros

In a bit of weird news, the Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries want Master Chief as a character in Smash Bros. That’s right, someone at the studio really wants some Super Smash Bros Ultimate Master Chief DLC. Could this be a hint towards it actually happening in the near future? Well, that’s complicated, of course.

This all began on Twitter when the official Twitter Gaming account posted yesterday asking for what characters everyone wants to see as Smash characters. This is all hypothetical, of course, but the official Halo account chimed in as well. It simply replied with a gif of Master Chief from the upcoming Halo Infinite.

That’s all. However, there’s no doubt that this has gotten some fans excited. After all, this is the official Halo account that wants some Super Smash Bros Ultimate Master Chief DLC. And to be honest, we do, too. Even a cursory glance at the replies show that many fans of Smash and Halo want this as well.

Of course, this is all pure speculation. After all, this was just a fun game that Twitter Gaming put on. But there is still the possibility out there with the relationship between Microsoft and Nintendo being so strong. And there is no better character to come to Smash from Microsoft than Master Chief; at least, in our opinions.

But there hasn’t been a major Western third party character in Smash just yet so it does remain unlikely. That doesn’t mean we can’t hope for some Super Smash Bros Ultimate Master Chief DLC. After all, only Joker has been confirmed for the game thus far. Be sure to stay tuned as more of the five DLC characters are announced.
