The wait for Halo Infinite feels like it has been … well, infinite. But we know the game is supposed to release next year. But when? According to a recent rumor, the game may release between March and June 2021. Along with this possible release date, the rumor included additional speculation about other aspects of the game. Let’s check it out.
Will Halo Infinite Release Between March and June 2021?
The origin of this rumor appears to be a Gaming Leaks & Rumors tweet which was located here. As of the time of this writing, the content is no longer available. So, we will be repeating what we saw other sources reporting.
Along with claiming a release between March and June 2021, the rumor also mentioned a battle royale mode. 343 Industries already stated in the past that it isn’t developing one. But the rumor suggests that another developer is. While this mode will not be ready when the game launches, the main 45v45 UNSC vs. Banished “redefined Invasion” mode reportedly will be.
The same rumor claims that there will be four “chapters” added onto the game over a ten-year period, and that two or more spin-off games will come out too.
Finally, the ending of the game will have “a major effect on the future of the franchise.” And here is the kicker—apparently the developer still has not decided what that will be.
This rumor with its many detailed claims does fit with previous rumors of a staged release for Halo Infinite. But does that mean you should take it seriously? Well, first of all, the source is anonymous. So, we have no idea if it is a quality source or not. Secondly, it is a rumor, plain and simple. No official source has confirmed any of this. Someone could just be pulling these claims out of you-know-where. We will have to wait and see what happens. Check in with us again soon for more Halo rumors and news.
