Halo Infinite Will Release On Xbox One And PC, No Xbox Play Anywhere Though

One thing fans wanted to know about Halo Infinite since its announcement at E3 2018 is whether or not it will be available through Xbox Game Pass and on what terms. Microsoft already has revealed they’ll make their first-party releases available on their subscription service, however, this one might not be Xbox Play Anywhere eligible.

What does Xbox Play Anywhere provide? Basically, if you buy a game with this label on either PC through the Microsoft store or Xbox Store you get a free copy of it on the other platform as well. This has happened before with games like Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 but it might not be happening with Halo Infinite. According to the game’s website, it will be available on both Xbox One and PC, however, no Xbox Play Anywhere just yet.

Halo Infinite’s description on its website reads:

The Master Chief returns in Halo Infinite – the next chapter of the legendary franchise. Developed by 343 Industries and created with our new Slipspace Engine, Halo Infinite was revealed at the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing with a thrilling engine demo that provides a glimpse into the future of the Halo franchise, leading it into new and unexpected directions.

The next games coming to both Xbox One and PC through the Game Pass and Xbox Play Anywhere are: We Happy Few, Crackdown 3, Ashen and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. To take advantage of Xbox Play Anywhere, you will need to have installed the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition update on your PC, as well as the latest update on your Xbox One console. Then, simply log into your Xbox Live/Microsoft account and your Xbox Play Anywhere games will be available to download. On your Xbox One, games will show as “Ready to Install” under “My Games and Apps”. On your Windows 10 PC, games will appear in “My Library.”
