We have all been waiting patiently for the Halo television series. Well, some of us have been waiting not-so-patiently. It feels like ages since the last time there was an update. Regardless, we are all wondering what we can expect from the show, particularly in terms of its production values. Now we at least have a clue, because we know a little bit about the Halo live action show budget for 2019.
The Halo Live Action Show Budget Is Significant
Variety reported that in 2019, “The Hungarian spend on Showtime’s “Halo,” to be released in 2021, exceeded $41.3 million.” The only show budget in Hungary which exceeded it that year was for The Alienist: Angel of Darkness. So, that seems to be a solid investment, and that bodes well for the quality of the show.
What else do we know about the Halo TV show? We know that Pablo Schreiber will play Master Chief, and Natascha McElhone will play Cortana. The plot will provide us with additional information which we don’t have about the war between the Covenant and Space Command from the games. 9 episodes are set to air on Showtime.
In other Halo news, COVID-19 has had an impact on the development of Halo Infinite as well as MCC PC. We also may have had some hints about what to expect from the game from a deleted tweet which revealed armor and species to feature in Halo Infinite. Beyond knowing that the Halo live action show is slated for a 2021 release window, we don’t yet have a specific date. When Showtime announces the date the show will finally air, we will let you know. So, check back with us soon for more news on Halo Infinite, the Halo live action series, and more!
