A new all-in-one update post for Halo: The Master Chief Collection is now available at Halo Waypoint, letting the community know what 343 Industries is currently working on. Playlists, Intelligent Delivery and more are being detailed.
The Halo: The Master Chief Collection playlists have been under discussion for a long time now. 343 Industries has been working on the feature for a long time now, based on community feedback and playtesting.
A few weeks ago 343 Industries opened up the MCC Playlist Preference survey via Halo Waypoint to find out what the community expects from the feature. The response was amazing, with more that 13.000 answers given by fans. Due to that, the playlists have been formed and the rotational playlists are now being put to schedule. Here’s what the company revealed for all types of playlists in Halo: The Master Chief Collection:
Core Playlists
- H1 Team Doubles
- H2C Team Arena
- H2C Team Hardcore
- H2A Team Arena
- H3 Team Arena
- H3 Team Hardcore
- H3 Team Doubles
Social Playlists
- Quickplay Slayer – Slayer offerings across all four titles)
- Crossplay BTB – Collection of BTB offerings on H1, H2C, H2A, and Halo 4

Rotational Playlists

- MCC special event-based playlists
- Community Test Playlists (built entirely from Community created content)
Note that nothing is set in stone yet and that the playlists may be changed or more will be added as the polishing of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection update is taking form. 343 Industries has been more than welcome to provide information about their upcoming project to the community, offering frequent updates, news and insight on what they’re working on without keeping the community out of the whole precedure.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection will keep us busy for a while until Microsoft and 343 Industries start revealing more information about Halo Infinite, which is the next chapter in the Halo basic storyline. The collection will be also available on Xbox Game Pass so that you won’t have to buy it at all to try it out.
