Halo fans and Sci-Fi enthusiasts gather around. A Halo TV Series is coming, produced by Kyle Killen of NBC show Awake, in a collaboration between Amblin Television, Showtime and 343 Industries.
The Halo TV Series have been rumored for many years now. Original theory was that Steven Spielberg would produce the series, however, this isn’t happening. Kyle Killen will instead take the part of executive producer, writer, and showrunner with Rupert Wyatt, director of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, also being an executive producer and direct multiple episodes.
Showtime boss, David Nevins has told Entertainment Weekly that the Halo TV Series will be their most ambitious series ever. In detail he stated:
“ ‘Halo’ is our most ambitious series ever, and we expect audiences who have been anticipating it for years to be thoroughly rewarded,”
“In the history of television, there simply has never been enough great science fiction. Kyle Killen’s scripts are thrilling, expansive and provocative, Rupert Wyatt is a wonderful, world-building director, and their vision of ‘Halo’ will enthrall fans of the game while also drawing the uninitiated into a world of complex characters that populate this unique universe.”
