Hamidou Diallo Wins NBA Slam Dunk Contest, Receives NBA 2K19 MyTeam Moments Card
Saturday night brought the NBA All-Star Weekend events in full effect as fans watched the Skills Challenge, Three-Point Shootout, and Dunk Contest go down. Hip-hop celebrities including 2 Chainz, Migos, and J-Cole were on hand to watch in Charlotte. The event that usually gets the most attention of the three is the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Oklahoma City Thunder player Hamidou Diallo brought his best stuff for the win and now gets a new NBA 2K19 MyTeam Moments card for it.
NBA 2K19 Predicted Hamidou Diallo Slam Dunk Contest win
Hours before the players took the court for NBA All-Star Saturday night, 2K19 was doing their best to predict who would win each contest. They made choices based on players’ specific skill ratings in the game. The NBA 2K19 crew had Nikola Jokic as a Skills Challenge prediction and Stephen Curry to take the three-point contest. The Celtics’ Jayson Tatum and Nets’ Joe Harris proved otherwise, respectively.
In the Slam Dunk contest field, they correctly predicted OKC’s Hamidou Diallo based on his in-game Dunk ratings. Diallo’s 96 rating edged Miles Bridges, John Collins, and Dennis Smith Jr. who each have 95 ratings.

Diallo didn’t disappoint either as he brought the thunder from OKC and elsewhere. He utilized some props along the way, but they were mostly past or present All-Star players. In one of his first dunks, he brought his teammate Russell Westbrook onto the court to give an assist.
Another dunk saw him leap over NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal to slam it down. For his grand finale, he brought former NBA All-Star Celebrity Game MVP Quavo onto the court and jumped over him, then finished off a sick dunk to wow the crowd. The trophy rightfully goes to Hamidou Diallo.

Hamidou Diallo gets upgraded NBA 2K19 MyTeam card
As the All-Star Weekend is going on, NBA 2K19 is giving out Moments cards to event winners. In celebration of Diallo’s big NBA Slam Dunk Contest win, NBA 2K19 MyTeam unleashed a brand new card. Hamidou Diallo now has a Moments card, as unveiled by the 2K19 MyTeam Twitter. Check it out below with that highlight dunk photo on the front.

As seen above, the Oklahoma City Thunder shooting guard gets quite the upgraded card. Diallo had a 96 Dunk rating ahead of his Slam Dunk Contest trophy win. It’s now bumped up to a 99 along with a 99 Vertical. Not bad, but then again he jumped over a seven-foot NBA Hall of Famer!
Gamers can pick up the Hamidou Diallo Moments card in NBA 2K19 MyTeam packs now or at NBA 2K19 Auction House when it hits. That’s quite a player to add to a lineup, as prior to Saturday night’s win he may have been under the radar for many people. He still could be that way, but use him as a secret weapon that 2K19 MyTeam lineup.
