How to Heal and Revive Your Teammates in Battlefield 5

In Battlefield 5, there are few mechanics as vital to teamwork as the game’s revival and healing mechanics. If you want your squad to be effective, then you need somebody playing the Medic class who understands how those mechanics work. The Battlefield 5 revive and healing system is relatively simple, but it can still be tough to react quickly under pressure.

How to Best Make Use of the Battlefield 5 Revive and Heal Mechanics

Those gamers who have played previous Battlefield titles will notice a few differences in the Battlefield 5 revive and healing mechanics. Firstly, health regeneration is much more restrictive. Rather than regenerating all of your health over time, you’ll only regenerate a portion of your health. This makes healing in Battlefield 5 all the more important. If you’ve been injured, there are a number of different ways to get back to full health.

The Battlefield 5 Revive and Healing Mechanics

The first method is to use a Bandage Pouch. You automatically start with one of these when you spawn. You can also get more from Medical Supply Stations, which can be built around the maps, and from Medical Crates which may be set down by allied Medics. Your team’s Medics can also pass out these pouches themselves. Play with these sources in mind, and you shouldn’t find yourself struggling for health top-ups.

The Revive system works much the same as in previous titles. However, there is now a new feature called the Buddy Revive. If you go down and there’s no nearby Medic to save you, any of your Squadmates can get you up instead, even if they aren’t a Medic. Note that the Buddy Revive does take slightly longer than if a Medic were to revive you. As such, it’s best to avoid doing in dangerous locations. While it’s a nice feature that should emphasise teamwork in-game, it’s no substitute for having an actual Medic in your squad.
