Anthem releases tomorrow for the remaining players and platforms. Though many players have been able to enjoy the online game, not everyone has been able to. With the release date set for tomorrow, many players are gearing up. Part of this is finding out how long to beat Anthem. This can help gamers on the fence figure out if the game is worth its price tag.
As an online service game, Anthem is, of course, built in a way that you should be able to endlessly play it like Destiny and The Division. However, this might not be the case at all. That’s why it’s important that we break down how long to beat Anthem so you know what you’re really getting out of it. Here’s everything you need to know.
How Long to Beat Anthem
There is a main story to Anthem, believe it or not. This may be surprising since the game is mainly built as an online title, unlike BioWare’s previous games. As such, you are going to have main story missions that you will need to complete like other story-centric games. However, these missions can be done solo or with other players.
The answer to how long to beat Anthem is around 12 hours or so with the main story. That would be the average we say as some players note that it only took 10 hours while it takes others around upwards of 15 hours. However, that is just the main story. If you’re looking to do the side missions and extras, you’re looking at around 20 hours.
If you happen to really get addicted to the game, you can, of course, spend dozens of hours getting to the max level and then upgrading your Grandmaster rank to the max one. But if you’re just interested in the story, you’ll get around a dozen hours of game time. For more Anthem content, check out the day one patch notes and what comes in the Legion of Dawn Edition.
