The Division 2 is set to release this week for players across the world on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Players will be able to dive back into this online games as a service but this time in Washington, DC instead of New York City. While the game releases later this week, some players are wondering how to play The Division 2 early.
This is certainly worth finding out since other similar recent games like Anthem have allowed players to check it out early. And for the purposes of this guide, we aren’t talking about the open beta that happened recently. No, this guide is for showing you how to play The Division 2 early this week. Here’s everything you need to know about how to do this.
How to Play The Division 2 Early
Even though the massive online game launches this Friday, March 15, you can actually play the full game before then. This is fantastic since you’ll be able to level up, do the story, and get a head start before a whole bunch of other players. There are a few ways that you can do this and they all have to do with what you purchase.
You will be able to play The Division 2 early if you pre-order or purchase the Gold Edition, Ultimate Edition, Dark Zone Collector’s Edition, or Phoenix Shield Collector’s Edition of the game. With any of these versions of the game beyond the base game, you will be able to play up to three days early.
That’s right, you’ll be able to start playing tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12. This is a pretty decent chunk of extra play time before all of the other players who purchase the standard edition.
