Blizzard has added a ton of new features since the launch of Overwatch in 2016. Since then, players have gotten new heroes, skins, events, and most importantly – new seasons. Every season, Blizzard adds new skins to grind for, new voice lines, and other cosmetic items. Recently, they have made a big change in the matchmaking and how players play the game according to their roles (Defensive, Offensive, or Tank). Along with all of these changes, Blizzard also added a brand-new feature called – Overwatch Workshop. And with this feature, a player has created fully-functional Tetris inside Overwatch.
Play Tetris In Overwatch Right Now
Earlier this week, this Reddit user has shared a video on Overwatch subreddit showing his creation of Tetris using the Overwatch Workshop. Just like a normal Tetris game, the player will be able to move left, right, and turn the shapes and drop down fast. Here’s what the creator has to say about the movement of this game:
- Left/right to move
- Up/down to turn
- Hold Jump to go down faster
- The game ends when the stack reaches the top or when the total number of effects reaches the entity limit (see the red text on the left) If there is more than one player, a random player is chosen at the start of the match.
If you are wishing to try this Tetris in Overwatch, you can. Just hop into the Overwatch Workshop and enter this code: X236D to play Tetris in Overwatch. Overwatch’s Workshop mode is for the creative players who want to tweak the game modes or even create their own heroes. But beware, working in the Overwatch Workshop requires some level of programming and scripting skills. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!
Overwatch was released on May 24, 2016, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
