Here’s Our FIFA 19 Wishlist

We’re only a couple weeks away from EA Play and E3, which means that we’re soon going to find out a lot about FIFA 19. While we’re waiting for the news to drop, here is our FIFA 19 wishlist for features and improvements for this year’s game!

5. Improvements to gameplay.

A number of changes could be made to improve the action on the pitch. When you kick the ball, it often doesn’t look or feel like you achieved real, satisfying contact. Passes are often completely random. Then there is the issue where animations sometimes interrupt each other, totally disrupting gameplay.

4. AI upgrades.

As always, AI could also use some improvements. Attacks do not include nearly enough variety, nor are they all that distinctive from one team to the next.

3. Make some changes to Ultimate Team.

There are a lot of ways in which Ultimate Team could be improved. To start with, do we really need contracts? Secondly, one thing we do need is more Squad Building Challenges, especially at the mid to lower levels. Another request would be for shorter matches to be added alongside Daily Objectives for those who do not necessarily have 90 minutes to sit down and play. Weekend League requirements are currently a bit over the top, and should be reduced. Beyond that, it would really help if there were more efficient ways to search the Transfer Market.

2. Upgrade The Journey.

The Journey is fun and interesting, but there are a few changes which would make it more compelling. These include some more continuity between the pitch and the cutscenes, and more customization and flexibility where the skill tree is concerned. AI could be improved in this mode as well, and it would be good if some lines were added in for the teammates and managers.

1. Improvements to Career Mode.

Finally, there is a lot that could be done to whip Career Mode into shape. Some suggestions are for AI club management to improve, for manager styles to have more of an influence on outcomes, and for squad rotation to factor in more consistently. This is just scratching the surface; Career Mode could use a lot more work.

Now you know what features and improvements we most want to see in FIFA 19. Be sure to keep up with our FIFA 19 news over the weeks ahead. We’ll keep you posted on features, the release date, and more!
