The original Hitman season one a couple of years ago was unique in design. It was released episodically, making it different in terms of length. Understandably, this has many players wondering how long to beat Hitman 2. Unlike the previous title, this one is not episodic in the slightest. Instead, players are given access to the entire base game on launch day.
Thankfully, this makes knowing how long to beat Hitman 2 slightly easier to figure out. However, it is similar in structure to the original season. There are multiple areas that make up the bulk of the “episodes” or main campaign missions for players. Let’s dive deep into how many there are and what the overall length of this game is.
How Long to Beat Hitman 2
Before we can answer that question, let’s take a look at the structure of the game. Similar to the previous title, there are six main mission areas that players can enjoy. We won’t go into what those areas are specifically to avoid spoilers but there is something worth noting. While there are a total of six, one of them barely counts.
The first area you will visit in Hitman 2 is a tutorial-like mission. It’s a smaller area with not as much choice and replayability. As such, the majority of the length for the game falls on the other five main story missions. Thankfully, they add a nice bit of replayability and length to the game. Each mission can you take you anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours on your first playthrough.
This makes the answer to how long to beat Hitman 2 variable. However, we certainly expect the game to take around six or so hours at the minimum and upwards of 10 or so hours for some players. It really depends on if you take your time and if you’re a perfectionist assassin.
