Io Interactive’s recently released Hitman HD Enhanced Collection includes remastered versions of Hitman: Blood Money and Hitman: Absolution. However, it turns out Io was really only focused on the Absolution part of that equation. The remastered Hitman: Blood Money port was developed by none other than Austrian developer Mipumi Games.
Mipumi Games Remasters Hitman Blood Money
The name Mipumi Games might look familiar to longtime Hitman fans, and there’s good reason for that. Along with the Hitman HD Enhanced Collection, Mipumi also collaborated with Io Interactive on the 2013 Hitman HD Trilogy. The Hitman HD Trilogy was a collection of three remasters that was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. The trilogy included Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts, and Hitman: Blood Money.
For the more recent Hitman HD Enhanced Collection, Mipumi Games spruced Blood Money up with some modern perks. Both games in the HD Enhanced Collection come equipped with enhanced visuals, streamlined control schemes, achievement/trophy support, and more. Those playing on the Xbox One X or PS4 Pro can also utilize 4K high-definition graphics at 60 fps.
Speaking in a press release, Mipumi Games CEO Gregor Eigner talked about getting to work alongside Io Interactive once again:
“We’re really excited to be able to offer players the chance to play Hitman: Blood Money remastered in high definition 4K UHD on PS4 and Xbox One. We are proud of the ongoing trust of Io Interactive in our long-term partnership, already covering several games in the successful Hitman franchise.”
Mipumi is a small game development company made up of experienced industry veterans. The studio includes former members of prestigious developers like Rockstar and Ubisoft. Along with its collaboration projects, Mipumi is working on its first original title, an episodic game titled The Lion’s Song.
