As you play through the Battlefield 5 War Stories, three of which feature in the game at present, you may come across letters. These are the single-player campaign’s core collectable, and can be found scattered through each of the game’s missions. In the first War Story, Under No Flag, there are nine of these Battlefield 5 letters to find; three in Chapter 1, and six in Chapter 2.

Letter #1: Life Goes On
The first of the Battlefield 5 letters in Under No Flag is easy to miss, as it appears very early in the mission. At the very start, as you follow Mason up the hillside, you should come across a small house on your right. When you approach the structure, you should get an on-screen pop-up indicating that you are entering a collectable area. This pop-up occurs whenever you come close to a letter, and indicates that you are looking in the right place. Head inside and find the letter on a table.
Letter #2: I Want to Go Home
The first group of enemies you come across are in a scrapyard of old planes. After defeating them, you can progress into a larger area. Rather than following the road to the right or heading down to the base on the left, climb up the hill in the centre, where you can see ruins. As you climb the hill, the second letter can be found in the grass, before you reach the ruins. Watch for the collectable area pop-up to show you the right patch of grass to search.
Letter #3: You Should Hear the Noise
The third and final letter in chapter 1 of Under No Flag is likely the hardest to find. Once you collect the second letter, head back down the hill to the road, on the opposite side of the hill to the large German camp. As you make your way along this road, you should come across a small roadside checkpoint where you will find a couple of enemies and a vehicle. Just past the checkpoint you can head down a slope to a small river. Follow the riverbank until you see the collectable area pop-up, then collect the third letter from its hiding place in the bushes.

Letter #4: Report Immediately to Berlin
Once you complete chapter 1, you’ll find yourself in a much larger open world-space for chapter 2. With the larger area comes twice as many hidden letters. The first, fortunately, is very easy to find. At the start of chapter 2 you’ll find yourself atop a hill overlooking a building immediately in front of you. Get past the two German guards and head inside the building to collect the letter.
Letter #5: Any Old Sheets
The three objective sites in this chapter can be tackled in any order. However, this guide assumes that you begin with the Village. Like the first letter, the second isn’t hard to find. Follow the main road which leads out of the Village, and as you do you should come upon a cairn made of piled rocks. The pile isn’t far from the Village site, and the letter can be found next to it.
Letter #6: Our Great Nation
As you make your way from the Village to the Comms Base, the second objective site, you can collect the sixth letter without detouring. As you follow the main road you will eventually arrive at a bridge. The Comms Base objectives should appear on screen as you approach. Before you cross the bridge, look on the right-hand side of the road for another cairn which lies past a roadside checkpoint. Just like the fifth letter, this letter is alongside it.
Letter #7: We Are Safe
After finishing the Comms Base objectives, take the road leading to the Airbase. Once again, the seventh letter can be found next to a rock cairn alongside the road. Shortly after leaving the Comms Base, you should see a stand of trees on the right-hand side. The cairn can be found nearby. Look for the collectable area pop-up to know when you reach the right location.
Letter #8: My Contribution
Leaving the Comms Base, keep heading towards the Airbase, which is the third and final objective site. Near to the Airbase is a wide and shallow river which flows across the map, and the eighth letter can be found next to another cairn on a small island. Follow the course of the river until you spot the island, where the cairn lies next to a tree.
Letter #9: To Be Reunited
The last of the Battlefield 5 letters in Under No Flag is relatively simple to find compared to some of the others in chapter 2. At the Airbase, you should notice a watchtower which stands alongside the runway. Approach that tower and as you reach the bottom you should see the collectable area pop-up. The letter can be found close to the steps which lead up into the tower, on the ground.
