How the Call of Duty: Mobile Classes Work – The Scout

All told, there are six different classes available for players to choose from in Call of Duty: Mobile’s Battle Royale mode; the Clown, Defender, Mechanic, Medic, Ninja, and Scout. Each of these six Call of Duty: Mobile classes offers players a different style of gameplay. While each is defined solely by two abilities, they still manage to be quite unique. The Scout, for example, has a gameplay style defined by information; the Scout is more capable than any other class at discerning where enemy players are.

The Call of Duty: Mobile Classes – The Scout (Abilities)

Each of the six Call of Duty: Mobile classes has two abilities. One is a permanent passive bonus, while the other is an activate-able ability. Often, the latter is some sort of piece of equipment, like the Defender’s Transform Shield or Medic’s Medical Station. For the Scout, their first ability is Tracker. This ability allows the Scout to see the footprints of enemy players in infrared light on the ground. These footprints only last for a short duration after being left, but it does allow the Scout to guess at nearby enemies’ movements and current locations.

Their second ability is the Sensor Dart, which the Scout can place down. Once placed, the Dart reveals all enemy locations with a radius around itself. (Much like a UAV in Multiplayer would do.) These locations are only visible on the mini-map, and don’t indicate verticality, however. As such, you won’t necessarily know which floor of a building an enemy might be on. Nevertheless, the two skills are still very useful for situational awareness during Battle Royale, particularly if you’re facing a well-coordinated enemy squad.

It’s important to note that only the Scout sees footprints with Tracker and enemy locations with the Sensor Dart. While these are useful for solo play, it does make communication important when playing with teammates. If you spot enemy positions with your Sensor Dart, you’ll need to let your squad know. With effective communication, however, the ability to gather intel and shape decision-making does make the Scout an excellent addition to a Battle Royale squad.
