Call of Duty: Mobile recently released, Activision’s first attempt to bring the shooter franchise onto mobile, and the game blends elements from both the Modern Warfare and Black Ops series. Included amongst this are plenty of maps, characters, weapons, etc. which originate from past titles. One of these is the Call of Duty: Mobile Killhouse map; a mobile iteration of a classic map which has previously featured in three different games.
The Call of Duty: Mobile Killhouse Map
The Call of Duty: Mobile Killhouse map is a live-fire training area which appears as one of the smaller multiplayer maps in the game. Fans may recognise it as the tutorial level from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. However, the map also featured on two other occasions; in Modern Warfare: Mobilised and Black Ops DS. “To account for the increased commonality of urban warfare, the roughly symmetrical course is littered with brick and wooden walls, shipping containers, sandbags, and ruined cars,” explains Activision; “At the warehouse’s centre is a wooden watchtower where soldiers in training begin their exercise while their superior officers watch them run the course.”
This small map is similar to those maps coming in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare which are designed for Gunfight. As such, you’re going to find yourself in combat very quickly once you spawn. This means that gameplay in Killhouse is very fast-paced; you’ll need to be careful when you reload, or even just switch weapons, to avoid being caught off-guard. While you can get some high-ground on the central watchtower, this viewpoint also exposes you. Plus, to reach it, you need to climb a very exposed ladder.
One key aspect of Killhouse when it comes to Scorestreaks is the fact that the map has a partial roof. This means that you’ll need to avoid hitting that same roof when you use Scorestreaks like Missile or VTOL. The ones that work remotely, like Stealth Chopper, will avoid the roof on their own. This roof can also make it harder to use Airdrops.
