Ahead of the launch of Fallout 76 on the 14th of November, PlayStation owners have a brief opportunity to claim several free Fallout 76 items. These are available to anyone with an active PlayStation Network account, regardless of whether they have actually pre-ordered the game or not. However, they are only available prior to the game’s launch.
How to Claim Free Fallout 76 Items Via PlayStation
To claim these limited-time free Fallout 76 items yourself, simply head over to the PlayStation Store. There, you can sign in with your PlayStation Network account, validating that you do own a PS4. Once you’ve done that, you’re free to download everything that’s available. That includes three Fallout-themed PlayStation avatars, and an exclusive PlayStation 4 theme based on Fallout 76. The theme gives the console’s display a post-apocalyptic aesthetic, with weathered icons and a Fallout 76 branded display behind.
Fans can also download wallpapers for desktop and mobile there, but these are accessible to everyone, not just PlayStation owners. Additionally, PlayStation is currently running a contest for a lucky fan to win a copy of the coveted Fallout 76 Power Armour Edition; complete with wearable T-51 Power Armour Helmet. Time is running out to enter, however, as participants must enter by the 13th of November. The T-51 Power Armour Edition has been difficult to get hold of since it originally sold out.

Fans eagerly waiting for the release of Fallout 76 can also start the pre-download for the game already. This will allow you to avoid some waiting time on the 14th, although there is still a massive day-one patch. If you’re having trouble accessing the pre-download option, Bethesda released guidelines for how to ensure that you have access to it earlier today. The studio also released the exact Fallout 76 launch times for every key global region today, complete with an accompanying map.
