How to Complete Battlefield 5 Squad Play and Reinforcements Event

The first chapter of the Battlefield 5 post-launch Tides of War is currently underway. Each week of the chapter there is a different weekly Chapter Event for players to take part in, with four overall throughout the chapter. The first of these chapters was Attrition and Fortifications. This week players can take part in the Battlefield 5 Squad Play and Reinforcements event.

How to Complete Battlefield 5 Squad Play and Reinforcements

Like every chapter event, the Battlefield 5 Squad Play and Reinforcements event offers a unique reward for those who complete it. The last chapter event offered participants the VGO Medium Machine Gun. This week, you can get your hands on the Axis Ratburner Helmet. If you can complete enough challenges, that is. Each Chapter Event has a branching challenge tree which guides you through the event to the reward. Choose a path and then complete the challenges you need in matches.

Battlefield 5 Squad Play and Reinforcements Guide

  • Buddy Revive: To get started with Squad Play and Reinforcements, you must complete the Buddy Revive challenge. This means reviving 6 squad-mates while playing as an Assault, Recon, or Support; i.e., not as a Medic. After completing Buddy Revive, you can progress onto either the Stay With Me or Enemy Spotted challenge.
  • Squad Goals: This optional challenge can be completed if you wish, though it won’t contribute towards completing the chapter event. The objective is to simply earn the “Best Squad” accolade at the end of a round. This means you need to be in the highest-scoring squad. This can be rather difficult, but fortunately it isn’t necessary to progress in the chapter event.
  • Stay With Me: To progress past Buddy Revive you must complete this challenge or Enemy Spotted. To complete Stay With Me, you must revive 10 teammates with the Syringe. Obviously, this requires you to play as a Medic. Luckily, the people you revive don’t need to be in your squad, as was the case with Buddy Revive.
  • Enemy Spotted: The alternate option to Stay With Me, this challenge requires you to spot 15 enemies with a Spotting Scope. You will need to play as a Recon for this.
  • Stick Together: After completing Stay With Me or Enemy Spotted, you must complete this challenge. You need to complete five Squad Orders. In any squad, there is a squad leader who can point out targets for their squad-mates. If you’re not the squad leader, you can use the Commo Rose to “request order,” from your leader. Don’t worry about players ignoring your requests. If the leader does ignore the request, the person requesting orders will become leader instead.
  • Calling: After Stick Together, you must complete either Calling or Focus Fire. For Calling, you must simply call in one Reinforcement as a squad leader. You should be familiar with the squad leader role from Stick Together, so this should be a simple challenge.
  • Focus Fire: If you don’t fancy completing Calling, you can do Focus Fire instead. This requires you to score 15 kills or squad assists. Like Calling, this should be an easy objective.
  • Look Up: The final challenge in Squad Play and Reinforcements requires you to kill two enemies, as a squad, with JB-2 or V-1 Reinforcements. What this means is that your squad needs to call in one of the two rocket Reinforcements and have it score at least 2 kills.
