As Madden 20 Ultimate Team celebrates the 10th anniversary of the mode, they are releasing a new star player each Friday. The latest to join the game is an absolute beast with middle linebacker Patrick Willis. The San Francisco 49ers great is considered a major win by many in the Madden community. For those trying to add him to MUT rosters, here’s how to get the new Patrick Willis items in Madden 20 Ultimate Team.
Patrick Willis’ Madden 20 Ultimate Team items
On Friday, Patrick Willis joined the Madden 20 Ultimate Team 10th anniversary program for its second player reveal. In the program’s debut week, an impressive Bo Jackson Madden 20 item arrived. However, it seems a lot of gamers are excited to have the rugged middle linebacker Patrick Willis now. Here’s a look at his Madden Ultimate Team 10 card featuring 91 OVR rating with that hard-hitting 90 for Hit Power, 88 Play Recognition, and 86 Speed.
The card up above is available in packs until September 2 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time. The market is already pretty high for the Willis 91 OVR card too. Current Auction Browser prices range from just under 2M Coins to 2.32M Coins!
Meanwhile, Patrick Willis also has a Power Up card that gamers can earn and upgrade it to an elite level MUT card. Just having that Power Up card on your squad before getting the other necessary items to get the elite card is pretty nice on its own. Let’s take a look at how to get his Power Up, the MUT10 token, and more.
How to get the Patrick Willis MUT10 items
To get the Madden 20 Patrick Willis Power Up card, you’ll need to go to the Ultimate Team mode. Select the Madden 20 Ultimate Team 10 Challenges on the screen. It’s under “Missions” and called “Limited Time: The MUT 10.” You’ll be able to go into the Patrick Willis Challenge area as shown below.
The goal is to win a game with your Ultimate Team against the 49ers on any difficulty level. By the way, you’ll get Patrick Willis on your team for the game and he has his Superstar ability available.
Winning on the Easy level earns one Star. Medium wins two Stars and Hard wins three Stars. You can also achieve bonus stars. A bonus Star is yours for recording 12 or more tackles in the game with the win. There’s also a bonus Star if you can get six or more user tackles with the win. So technically, you can play on Easy level and earn three stars (a win + both bonus stars).
Patrick Willis Challenge rewards include Power Up, MUT10 Token
Here are the rewards for each number of Stars earned. You can play more than once, going through each difficulty level if you need to get more Coins. However, once you’ve earned Three Stars to get both the Power Up and Collectible Token, it appears that’s it for being able to play the Challenge.
- One Star = Patrick Willis Power Up / 500x Coins
- Two Stars = 500x Coins
- Three Stars = MUT10 Token / 700x Coins
- Four Stars = 700x Coins
- Five Stars = 700x Coins
So with just one Star, you’ll get Willis’ Power Up card. Upgrade it by spending your Training and adding the other items as needed. See our guide for how to get Training in Madden 20 if you need more of it.
With three Stars, gamers receive the MUT10 Token: Linebacker position to add to the set. The goal is to add each token over the next 10 weeks in order to complete a set and get the special MUT10 player item.
Once you have that MUT10 Token, add it to the set along with the Bo Jackson. To do so, scroll to the “Team” choice on the Ultimate Team menu and then choose “Sets” below. Select the “The Madden Ultimate Team 10” and add the Linebacker token there. That means just eight more MUT10 Tokens to get that NAT Madden 20 Ultimate Team 10 Player!
