EA Sports’ newest football simulation title Madden 20 is just weeks away from its wide release. That official date for everyone is August 2. Customers who placed certain Madden 20 pre-orders will get the game several days earlier on July 31, 2019. However, there’s a way to play Madden 20 over a week earlier thanks to EA Access and Origin Access.
Play Madden 20 Early Using EA Access (PS4, Xbox One)
Gamers who own Sony’s PlayStation 4 or Microsoft’s Xbox One can sign up for an EA Access membership. This brings a library of games to play online as well as early trials of new games. The upcoming featured games are EA’s FIFA 20 and Madden 20. As EA Access states on their sign-up page (for Xbox), membership brings the following benefits:
- Unlimited play of tons of awesome games
- Exclusive early trials
- 10% off EA digital purchases on Xbox One
To join EA Access for Xbox, head to the signup page here. PlayStation EA Access won’t go live until July 24, but will be available at the page here. Make sure you have your Microsoft Xbox or Sony PlayStation log-in details handy when you do.
From there, you’ll want to choose either the monthly subscription for $4.99 per month or a yearly subscription for a discount price of $29.99. You’ll complete the purchase through either the Xbox Live Store (for Xbox One) or PlayStation Store (for PS4).
Once you’ve confirmed your account and payment is accepted, you should be good to go. You’ll be able to play Madden 20 or FIFA 20 on EA Access over a week earlier than everyone else. For Madden 20 that means July 25, 2019!
Play early using Origin Access Premier (Windows PCs)
Gamers who want to play Madden 20 early on a personal computer or laptop can do so with an EA Origin Access Premier membership. This membership provides the Madden 20 game to PC gamers as of July 25, 2019.

You’ll need to register an account for EA Origin Access Premier. From there, an Origin Access Premier subscription costs $14.99 a month or $99.99 for a year. However, it doesn’t just give a 10-hour trial of games like the basic Origin Access does. Instead, gamers get early access to full games. In addition, there’s a catalog of 225 games to play, exclusive extra content, and a 10 percent off Origin purchases included with the membership.
In addition, you’ll need to install their Origin Client for Windows PCs. Get the free Origin client download here. Unfortunately, this will only allow for Madden 20 on Windows PCs with Windows 7 Service Pack or later. The system requirements also include a PC with a 1gHZ processor and at least 512mb of RAM.
Once you’ve installed the free Origin Access client for your PC and signed up for the Premier subscription, you should be good to go. You’ll be able to enjoy Madden 20 as of July 25, 2019, ahead of all your friends!
Also see Madden 20 pre-order details for the option to get the game July 31. Gamers who get that particular pre-order will also get to select one of the pre-order players from the 32 NFL teams.
