Jeromegood Completed Doom In 37 Minutes At SGDQ

Yesterday Jeromegood was challenged to play Doom as quickly as possible at Summer Games Done Quick and he completed it in only 37 minutes. His mechanics were noteworthy and this was, in fact, the most impressive run of Doom we have ever seen.

On Monday 25, Jeromegood was scheduled to play Doom at this year’s Summer Games Done Quick. No one expected that he could actually do the most impressive time, considering Doom’s total gameplay time is five whole hours. He was given a total of sixty minutes to play and complete the game, meaning that he had some spare minutes if he would like to take a breath. However, he did not stop and actually completed it in only 37:36 minutes.

Compared to the last appearance of Doom at GDQ, this was the fastest we have ever seen. Jeromegood showed some impressive and unique tricks as he was running, killing and making it out alive until the end of the game. He was playing on PC at 200FPS and he pulled off some amazingly insane tricks while passing across multiple levels. The most outstanding thing this amazing gameplay contained, was the fact that, most of the time, he was out of bounds. He was able to pull himself outside of them and run quickly across multiple levels. Nevertheless, this fact did not stop him from slaying every monster he was encountering in his path.

Having in mind that Doom’s total completion time is approximately five hours, his successful 37:35 minutes time can only be seen as a superhuman ability. Jeromegood showed that he could play the game any time he wants, as many times as he likes, leaving us struggling with some bosses along our way. If you are a fan of Doom and you want to see some great mechanics and insane tricks, watch Jeromegood’s run at GDQ.
