Kingdom Hearts 3 Switch: Is Kingdom Hearts 3 Coming to Switch?

There is so much content for players to enjoy right now in Kingdom Hearts 3 from unlocking the Starlight Keyblade to checking out the patch notes for update 1.02. Of course, some players are wondering about a Kingdom Hearts 3 Switch version. With the release of it on PS4 and Xbox One, there are some who want to be able to play it anywhere.

This makes perfect sense since a Kingdom Hearts 3 Switch would be great for playing on the go and at home also. Of course, even though today is launch day, the long-awaited game is only available for PS4 and Xbox One currently. However, that doesn’t mean it won’t come to Nintendo Switch eventually. So, what’s the answer to this question?

Kingdom Hearts 3 Switch

Let’s go ahead and get this out of the way right now. There is no confirmed release or announcement of Kingdom Hearts 3 for Nintendo Switch at the time of publishing this post. However, don’t take that to mean that all hope is completely lost. Having played the game, we don’t see any reason why it can’t run on Nintendo Switch with a few tweaks.

In addition, Square Enix has declared a ton of support for the console including a lot of Final Fantasy games coming later this year. But therein lies the problem. Kingdom Hearts 3 has been in development for quite some time so a Switch version would probably come at least a year after the other two platforms.

So, while it is possible, don’t expect an announcement or anything for quite a bit more time. But you should expect to see the other games come to Switch first before there is ever a Kingdom Hearts 3 Switch version. Hopefully, there is an announcement for a collection soon as there’s no reason why it shouldn’t happen on Switch.
