For some time now, there has been a rumour among CD Projekt Red fans that Lady Gaga might be making some sort of guest appearance in the studio’s upcoming title, Cyberpunk 2077. The source of this rumour was a bizarre Tweet exchange which occurred last year. The official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account suddenly commented on an incomprehensible tweet which Lady Gaga posted all the way back in 2012. The exchange quickly prompted widespread speculation, and now, a report suggests that the long-rumoured appearance might actually be happening.
Of course! Of course we will! 😎

Will Lady Gaga be Appearing in Cyberpunk 2077?
The new report comes from a French gaming website called Actugaming.net. According to that site’s sources, Lady Gaga was recently spotted visiting CD Projekt Red’s Polish studio. “We have just learned,” states Actugaming.net; “from sources close to the studio, that a collaboration between Lady Gaga and CD Projekt Red is on the horizon for Cyberpunk 2077. The artist was seen at the Polish studio and several details follow. Of course, it will be necessary to wait before having the official announcement, but the information comes to us from sources who preferred to remain anonymous and that one cannot quote.”
Of course, this is a far cry from an official announcement. It’s possible that this could prove not to be true. However, given the existing rumours, it certainly does seem believable. It’s worth noting that CD Projekt Red has stated that there are several musicians collaborating with in-house composer Marcin Przybyłowicz, whom we interviewed last year about the game’s soundtrack. The collaborating musicians are presumably working on music for the in-game bands and musicians; as music is a big part of Night City’s eclectic culture.
It’s easy to see how Lady Gaga might fit into the musical landscape of Night City. Certainly, a guest appearance by the musician would also likely be a major publicity boost for the upcoming game. However, fans will have to wait for an official announcement from CD Projekt Red. Until then, this rumour will remain a rumour, albeit one with more evidence behind it.
