Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens Top Madden 20’s Most Popular Teams List
As the Baltimore Ravens continue their impressive season behind Lamar Jackson and company, it’s no surprise the team is the most popular in the video game world. Based on a recent EA Madden tweet, the team is the one gamers use the most in the Madden 20 game.
Lamar Jackson and Baltimore Ravens gain Madden 20 popularity
At the start of the season, one might have expected a handful of other teams to be most popular in the Madden 20 video game. That may have included the Kansas City Chiefs led by Madden cover star Patrick Mahomes, the New England Patriots, or Dallas Cowboys. That’s not the case as the season approaches the NFL playoffs, though.
EA Madden posted an image on their Twitter on Christmas Eve, showing the likely NFL MVP Lamar Jackson along with the top five teams in Madden. The Baltimore Ravens are leading the way, as they’ve surged in popularity this season behind a record-breaking campaign from Jackson.
Just last week, Jackson achieved the most rushing yards in a season, surpassing former record holder Michael Vick. He also received the highest QB speed rating ever in Madden a few weeks ago. Clearly Madden fans are enjoying using the surefire MVP’s mobility on the virtual gridiron. Lamar Jackson isn’t a 99 yet, but he’s certainly been on the rise all season.
Coming in second on the list are the Dallas Cowboys. They’ve struggled this season behind Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott, but still have a shot at the postseason depending on what happens this weekend. Either way, they’re clearly still America’s favorite team, besides Lamar Jackson’s Ravens.
Rest of the top five includes Mahomes, Wilson, Brees
Mahomes and the Chiefs are still within the top three as they look towards the playoffs. They’re followed by the Seattle Seahawks who have looked impressive with Russell Wilson guiding them and then the New Orleans Saints. Seattle and New Orleans are also playoff-bound.
Just recently, the Saints also produced the newest 99 Club member as Michael Thomas gained entry. He was placed in the elite club following his record-setting game. Thomas now has the most receptions in a single-season.
The mighty have clearly fallen, though, as last year’s Super Bowl teams, the Patriots and Los Angeles Rams are not seen in the top five. The Patriots will be part of the postseason while the Rams will not. It seems as it a brand new era of football is here and gamers are enjoying the Lamar Jackson and the new stars of Madden!
