Shortly after the launch last week of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 3, Activision launched two big events. The first was a Double XP Weekend, which will come to an end tomorrow, and the second was a Free Access period, offering free access to a selection of Season 3 content to all. Now, gamers only have a few more days to take part.
The Black Ops Cold War Season 3 Free Event
The first Black Ops Cold War Free Access event, which began on the 23rd of April, is due to end in just a few days’ time at 10:00 AM PT on the 28th. As such, gamers who didn’t participate over the weekend may wish to do so sooner rather than later! The game is currently available to download via Free Access on digital stores, granting access to the selected content. Of course, you won’t get full access to Black Ops Cold War, but you will get access to a surprising amount.
The first part of Free Access in Black Ops Cold War Season 3 is for the game’s Multiplayer. The Nuketown 24/7, Multi-Team Moshpit, and 3v3 Faceoff playlists are all available to play, as well as regular Team Deathmatch and Domination. Included in these are both of the new Season 3 maps; Diesel and Yamantau. The latter is for 6v6 modes, while the former is available for 6v6, 3v3, and 2v2. Indeed, if you want to experience Yamantau specifically, a Yamantau 24/7 playlist provides exactly that. The new Sticks and Stones party mode is also available to play for free.
In addition to Multiplayer, Free Access also grants players some of the game’s Zombies content. Namely, the Outbreak mode is available to play, including the all-new Duga region included in Season 3. Outbreak got a significant expansion at the start of the season, including a new vehicle, a new Field Upgrade, and new objectives.
