Last Chance to Play Black Ops Cold War Zombies for Free

Last week, coinciding with the launch of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Mid-Season Update, Treyarch began the first-ever Free Access Week for a Call of Duty Zombies mode. This free event has been live since, but now, only two days remain for players to take part.

Black Ops Cold War Zombies: Free Access Week

After starting on the 19th of January, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies Free Access Week is now due to end on the 21st. While Free Access Weekends for the game’s multiplayer have become relatively common, there has never been such an event for Zombies in the history of the Call of Duty franchise. It’s currently unknown if/when Treyarch might hold another such event. As such, curious players should give it a try while they still can!

Notably, the Zombies Free Access Week offers full access to the mode, rather than a limited selection of content. This includes the very latest content to come to Zombies in the Mid-Season Update; the new Cranked gameplay mode and the PlayStation-exclusive Onslaught mode. The latter is a two-player horde mode where players face extra-aggressive waves of zombies. Rather than taking place on the larger Zombies maps, this mode features some of the game’s standard multiplayer maps.

With the end of this ongoing event, Treyarch still has more content coming to Black Ops Cold War during the second half of Season One. A new roadmap for the latter half of the season was recently unveiled, teasing a new map ‘Express,’ as well as new multiplayer modes. These include the huge new Endurance Mode, a Snipers Only Moshpit, and more. The roadmap also teased the next upcoming Zombies map, which is entitled ‘Firebase Z’. This will be the first new map to come to Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies map post-launch. It will be releasing on the 4th of February.
