Last week, Gearbox released a round of Borderlands 3 hotfixes which primarily featured buffs for Moze. Now, it seems that the studio wasn’t done buffing the Vault Hunter, because a new Borderlands 3 patch does even more to improve her. The patch also implemented the latest pair of in-game mini-events; Loot Monster Mayhem and Rare Chest Riches.
New Buffs in the Latest Borderlands 3 Patch
First of all, the new Borderlands 3 patch activates the newest pair of mini-events. Rare Chest Riches increases the odds that players will get Legendary items from Rare Chests, while Loot Monster Mayhem increases the chances of encountering Loot enemies in-game, as well as their chances of dropping Legendary loot. Alongside this implementation, the patch also features another round of buffs for Moze.
“We are continuing to work on improving the Gunner’s survivability,” explains Gearbox; “and Iron Bear’s viability in higher levels of Mayhem. This week brings another set of hotfixes to Moze’s skills based on our investigations.”
Overall, four of Moze’s skills have been altered, mostly for the positive. Explosive Punctuation’s cooldown rate awarded has gone up to 8%, while the Hammerdown Protocol’s damage output has been increased by a massive 600% alongside a reduction to reload time. Specialist Bear’s damage increase has gone up from +25% to +60%. Finally, the “Click, Click…” skill has also gotten a boost. Its increased damage bonus has gone up from 12/24/36% to 20/40/60%.
In addition to skill buffs, the new patch also features improvements for Iron Bear’s weapons. First of all, the base damage of both the Railgun and Salamander Flame Thrower’s has been improved. Chemical Warfare’s Melt Damage has gone up to 125%, while Shockhammer’s Shock Damage has gone up to 60% of damage dealt. Finally, the damage reduction of Capacitive Armature and Corrosive Sabot Round has been reduced. The Armature’s damage reduction has gone down from -75% to -30% and the Sabot’s damage reduction has gone down from -50% to -15%.
