Latest Fortnite Update Brings Amazing New Item, Unvaults the Grappler

The latest Fortnite update came out on November 2. While this update wasn’t a big one, it has brought several changes to the battle royale game. The biggest addition was the Icy Grappler as well as the unvaulting of the regular Grappler in core game modes.

Besides these two items, players can now gain even more XP in Season 8 with two new punchcards. Unfortunately, this was just a hotfix, which is a small update, so there was no news about the Naruto skin. However, another update will most likely be released on Tuesday, November 9, and it is going to be a big one.

The Icy Grappler brings new ways to have fun

The new Fortnite Battle Royale item is the Icy Grappler. It is an Exotic variant of the Grappler with a twist! Players can purchase this mobility item for gold bars from Fabio Sparklemane at Apres Ski. Just like the regular Grappler, the Exotic one lets players move quickly around the map. However, it also puts ice on their feet and makes them slide!

While sliding can be annoying sometimes, players can use it to move even quicker around the map. The Grappler is very useful when moving from one place to another and players who have it don’t have to worry about the storm. What makes the item even more amazing is the fact that it has unlimited charges! It will definitely take some time for players to get used to it, but when they do, it will be one of the best items in the game.

Besides the Icy Grappler, Epic Games has unvaulted the regular Grappler with the hotfix as well. However, neither one is available in the competitive playlists.

New punchcards are out

The November 2 Fortnite update has brought new punchcards as well. Players can earn XP very quickly by completing them and they are relatively easy.

The first punchcard is offered by Ember and it has quests about the fire. Players will have to destroy fireplaces, set structures on fire and heal from campfires to complete the questline. On the other side, Sledgehammer offers a variety of the Sideways quests. In the final one, players will have to defeat a boss cube monster in the Sideways to complete the punchcard.
