It’s time for another Overwatch (2) leak. Lately, it’s been showering Overwatch (Free-to-Play) leaks and that is hyping the community up. Tomorrow, we’ll finally get our answers about Overwatch 2 and when it’s going to be released for consoles (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch) and PC. If you haven’t heard about any leaks, here’s a quick rundown. First, there was a leak from this Twitter handle that Overwatch 2 is real and will be announced after a short cinematic at BlizzCon 2019.
Overwatch May Go Free-to-Play
Then, the same Twitter handle said that Overwatch 1 progress might not transfer over to Overwatch 2. After a short while of silence, ESPN reported that they have a complete document of Overwatch 2 and that there will be a new 4v4 PvE mode coming with this new installment.
Now, “Metro_OW” reported that “Overwatch will go Free-to-Play from now on.” Now, it’s up to Blizzard when they want this change to happen. Metro then said that “from whenever Blizzard decides to make it F2P, might be at Blizzcon or we might have to wait until OW 2 will actually release.”
Tomorrow, BlizzCon 2019 will go live in Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, California, the United States from Friday, November 1, 2019, to Saturday, November 2, 2019. According to the leaks, players will be able to play the new installment – Overwatch: Chapter 2 in this live convention. If you’re looking watch this convention online, you absolutely can. Just hop over to the Blizzard website and everything will be live-streamed there.
As for the 32nd hero in the game, some leaks are suggesting it to be Echo while some are referring more towards Sojourn and Mauga. My guess is that the Echo will be the next hero in the game. But, as said before, nothing is officially confirmed and Blizzard has yet to comment on this matter.
Overwatch was released on May 24, 2016, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
